Annual Financial Statement (AFS) Summary 2024–25
The Annual Financial Statement (AFS) 2024–25 of Kumbadaje Grama Panchayat reflects the Panchayat’s focus on welfare activities, infrastructure development, agriculture, sanitation, health care, and social security schemes. The Panchayat maintained a closing cash and bank balance of ₹1.57 crore at the end of the financial year.
The Panchayat received revenue mainly through government grants, Central Finance Commission grants, MGNREGA funds, building permit fees, profession tax, beneficiary contributions, and health grants. Major receipts included ₹1.03 crore as General Purpose Fund, ₹1.48 crore as grants for specific purposes, and ₹44.38 lakh as Central Finance Commission tied fund grants.
Major expenditure sectors included agriculture, livestock development, health care, drinking water, sanitation, housing, social welfare, anganwadi nutrition, road development, and infrastructure works. Housing schemes alone accounted for more than ₹86 lakh, while social security pensions exceeded ₹2.95 crore. Significant funds were also utilized for road retarring, drainage renovation, waste management, and public health activities.
The Panchayat spent substantial amounts on productive sector activities such as paddy cultivation support, arecanut cultivation assistance, dairy and livestock development, and agricultural infrastructure. Welfare activities for children, elderly people, differently abled persons, and women were also implemented through various schemes.
Infrastructure development remained a major priority during the year, with investments in roads, streetlights, drainage systems, public buildings, anganwadis, and cultural centres. The Panchayat also strengthened sanitation and solid waste management activities, including waste collection, plastic segregation, and transportation to processing centres.
